Day 1: Inbound
Meet your Weber Powder driver in the lobby of the Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel at 7:45AM. Departing at 8AM, enjoy a scenic 3 hour drive through the majestic Rocky Mountains meeting your helicopter pilot in Golden, BC for a 15 minute (45km) flight into Battle Abbey. Upon arrival at the lodge enjoy a light lunch and jump into a backcountry safety orientation. Depending on the available daylight, you may have time for a quick alpine ski tour before sunset. After your orientation or quick ski, indulge is an apres'-ski spread, settle into the lodge and savour dinner at 7PM. Explore our carefully selected wine list featuring offerings from the Okanagan Valley, renowned as Canada's top wine-producing region
*Days 2-4: Supreme Skiing
Kickstart your day at the espresso bar which opens at 7AM followed by breakfast served at 8AM. During breakfast your guides will discuss the trip plan for the day and set a departure time (typically around 9AM). Hit the uptrack for a full day ski touring in the Battle Range with lunch served mountainside. Once your legs are tired and the sun begins to set, retreat back to the lodge and enjoy apres' ski at Battle Abbey where the saunas are hot, eats are good and vibes are high. Finish the day with dinner served at 7PM.
Day 5 - Outbound
By now, you are accustomed to mornings at Battle Abbey: coffee > breakfast > ski! Pack your bags, drink coffee, eat breakfast and hit the uptrack once again. After a morning of skiing you will return to the lodge around 11AM and prepare for the helicopter flight at 12PM (weather dependant). In Golden, a driver will be waiting to escort you back to Calgary International Airport marking the end of an amazing trip. We do not recommend booking a flight out of Calgary this evening as weather delays can impact timing.
* Six and seven day trips add an additional full day (or two) at the lodge to explore following the same inbound/outbound itinerary.

Battle Abbey is easy to access yet perfectly private. We arrange private ground transportation from Calgary International Airport to our staging area in Golden, BC. From the base in Golden, Battle Abbey is a scenic 20 minute flight into the backcountry.

Is there WiFi at Battle Abbey?
Yes, the lodge is equipped with Starlink high speed internet so you can stay connected with your loved ones. To make the most out of your experience at Battle Abbey we recommend keeping electronics at a minimum and immersing yourself in the surroundings.
Do I have to pay a Single Supplement if I am travelling alone?
No, we do not charge additional for single travellers however we may room you with another solo traveller of the same gender.
Do I need experience ski touring or split-boarding to visit Battle Abbey?
We recommend all guests interested in ski touring or split-boarding at Battle Abbey are intermediate skiers or riders with some experience in the backcountry. Battle Abbeys terrain is considered challenging with several pillow fields, steep slopes and trees. We also welcome guests who would like to immerse themselves in the backcountry from the comfort of the lodge.
Since Battle Abbey is heli-accessible only, what happens if we cannot fly in on exchange days?
Due to the remote nature and rugged conditions of Battle Abbey, weather can (on rare occasions) affect our ability to fly into the lodge. Safety is always the number one priority which is why we work with the amazing team of skilled pilots at Alpine Helicopters who constantly monitor conditions and decide when it is safe to fly. If an overnight delay occurs, guests will stay in Golden and attempt to fly into the lodge the next day returning to the regularly scheduled program. We strongly recommend all guests purchase trip interruption, trip cancellation and medical insurance to cover unforeseen events such as a weather delays.
How many meters of climbing do you average in a day?
Depending on the groups overall fitness, we typically range from 1000-2000m of human powered elevation gain per day. Yes! At the time of booking, we collect all dietary information to allow time for our culinary team to plan in advance.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Please reference our Terms & Conditions for a complete overview of our cancellation policy. We strongly encourage all Weber Powder guests have adequate trip cancellation and trip interruption insurance to cover any unforeseen events.
Why do you provide safety equipment and airbags? Other lodges let me bring my own...
We provide our own fleet safety equipment that is standardized and maintained by our guiding team. This ensures all equipment being used is in the best working order and means you have one less thing to pack. Read more about our safety gear here.
Should I leave a gratuity for staff?
If you'd like to show your appreciation to the team for their service during your stay, it's warmly welcomed. Tips are distributed equally among the staff who assisted you during your visit. We refrain from suggesting specific amounts as tipping customs vary across cultures. However, if you're curious about the customary practice in Canada, it's generally around 10% of the total trip cost. Gratitudes can be settled in cash or via credit card before you depart the lodge.
