Itinerary (Skiing)

We recommend arriving in Calgary a day prior to your trip to ensure a smooth start and avoid any potential travel delays.

Day 1: Inbound

Meet your Weber Powder driver in the lobby of the Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel at 7:45AM. Departing at 8AM, enjoy a scenic 3 hour drive through the majestic Rocky Mountains meeting your helicopter pilot in Golden, BC for a 15 minute (45km) flight into Battle Abbey. Upon arrival at the lodge enjoy a light lunch and jump into a backcountry safety orientation. Depending on the available daylight, you may have time for a quick alpine ski tour before sunset. After your orientation or quick ski, indulge is an apres'-ski spread, settle into the lodge and savour dinner at 7PM. Explore our carefully selected wine list featuring offerings from the Okanagan Valley, renowned as Canada's top wine-producing region

*Days 2-4: Supreme Skiing

Kickstart your day at the espresso bar which opens at 7AM followed by breakfast served at 8AM. During breakfast your guides will discuss the trip plan for the day and set a departure time (typically around 9AM). Hit the uptrack for a full day ski touring in the Battle Range with lunch served mountainside. Once your legs are tired and the sun begins to set, retreat back to the lodge and enjoy apres' ski at Battle Abbey where the saunas are hot, eats are good and vibes are high. Finish the day with dinner served at 7PM.

Day 5 - Outbound

By now, you are accustomed to mornings at Battle Abbey: coffee > breakfast > ski! Pack your bags, drink coffee, eat breakfast and hit the uptrack once again. After a morning of skiing you will return to the lodge around 11AM and prepare for the helicopter flight at 12PM (weather dependant). In Golden, a driver will be waiting to escort you back to Calgary International Airport marking the end of an amazing trip. We do not recommend booking a flight out of Calgary this evening as weather delays can impact timing.

* Six and seven day trips add an additional full day (or two) at the lodge to explore following the same inbound/outbound itinerary.

We provide our own fleet safety equipment that is standardized and maintained by our guiding team. This ensures all equipment being used is in the best working order and means you have one less thing to pack. Read more about our safety gear here.

Should I leave a gratuity for staff?

If you'd like to show your appreciation to the team for their service during your stay, it's warmly welcomed. Tips are distributed equally among the staff who assisted you during your visit. We refrain from suggesting specific amounts as tipping customs vary across cultures. However, if you're curious about the customary practice in Canada, it's generally around 10% of the total trip cost. Gratitudes can be settled in cash or via credit card before you depart the lodge.
