Weber Powder partners with CMH to offer Heli-skiing at Battle Abbey.
As Tessum, one of the owners at Battle Abbey, puts it: "We were skiing on our tenure, surrounded by the incredible mountains. From the doorstep of the lodge, the skiing truly is supreme. We wanted to just keep exploring further and further with our skis. It dawned on us that we wanted to give our guests the choice of ultimate ski experience, from the convenience and pace of lodge-based ski touring to the thrill of heli-skiing. No matter your preference, we've got you covered."
Hans Gmoser and his family, the founders at CMH, (along with numerous friends including Bill Putnam) were the builders of our beautiful Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge. They spent thousands of hours laying the groundwork for the lodge and had the vision in the 1970s to build a lodge at the heart of some of the best powder skiing on earth.
This is why we contacted CMH. Our next door neighbour at Battle Abbey, they willingly decided to provide exclusive heliskiing in April for our guests. A period with one of the deepest snowpacks in the season, Weber Powder guests will have access to over 500,000 acres of combined terrain on a private helicopter skiing program. This joint venture with CMH opens up tailored heli-ski programs with access to Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge as an exclusive base to explore from every day. You can expect the same level of Weber family experience at Battle Abbey combined with the knowledge and skillset of CMH and their team.
This exclusive program is designed for intimacy and personalized attention. Groups will be limited to 4-8 guests on a Bell-407, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of runs for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned powder hound or a first-time heli-skier, our expert guides will tailor the experience to your skill level and desires.
2025 and 2026 trips are available on our Weber Powder Website Calendar for booking.
