Guest Experience Host at Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge 2025

At Weber Powder the Guest Experience Host is responsible for overseeing and aiding the day to day operations of the lodge to ensure our guests have the best experience possible during their trip. We offer a world class experiences for our guests and need an exceptional team to help us deliver the experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

This section contains a description of the duties and responsibilities assigned to the job; also referred to as the essential functions. They describe the fundamental nature of the job which occupies a large proportion of the employee’s time.

  • Greeting and aiding guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Ensure lodge cleanliness standards are upheld daily including but not limited to (housekeeping, laundry, stocking the bar).
  • Assist the Chef with prep and meal services including but not limited to.
  • Espresso and bar service daily.
  • Supervise dining room.
  • Setting up guest lunches.
  • Helping with Utilities flights.
  • Daily Field Radio assistance including in emergency situations.
  • Helping the caretaker and other staff with other tasks as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Serving it Right or equivalent (Mandatory).
  • WHMIS (Mandatory).
  • Foodsafe Level 1 or equivalent (Preferred).
  • First Aid Training (CPR & AED) or above (Preferred).
  • Hospitality Certificate (Preferred).

3 years experience in a hospitality setting, remote lodge experience an asset.

Working Conditions

  • This is a seasonal full-time position beginning in December 2024. 
  • This position is in a Backcountry lodge ability to work in the outdoors necessary.
  • Must be capable of standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Shifts at the lodge may be up to 21 days.
  • Staff are responsible for their transportation to the Alpine Helicopter Hanger in Golden, BC and are expected to arrive 30 minutes before guests are due to assist in the loading of the helicopter and to be available to help guests.
