Ryan’s journey into the backcountry began with a ski mountaineering course in the Selkirk Mountains—a formative experience that sparked a lifelong passion for exploring big terrain and deep snow. Captivated by the combination of breathtaking landscapes, technical challenges, and the pure joy of powder skiing, he’s returned to these mountains season after season.

Over the years, Ryan has worked with a range of both mechanized and non-mechanized ski operations across British Columbia, gaining a deep appreciation for the many ways people experience the mountains. Today, as an ACMG Ski Guide, he shares his enthusiasm (and great big smile) for the outdoors with guests eager to breathe crisp mountain air and venture into wild terrain.
