Melissa has been skiing longer than she’s been cooking—but for the past 28 years, she’s combined both passions by cooking for skiers. A true mountain soul, she grew up camping and skiing in the parking lot of Fortress Mountain, where her love of snow and community began. After completing her culinary apprenticeship at Summerhill Estate Winery, Melissa made her home in Nelson, BC, where she skis at Whitewater and raised her two kids who are already rippers themselves (her son is part of the glading team at Battle Abbey). Known for her bold, comforting flavours and a special love for lamb (“it’s my jam!”), Melissa brings heart, flavour, and a touch of après-ski joy to every meal she serves. Melissa is an excellent baker and loves steep tree skiing!
