Matt’s love for the mountains first began when he escaped the suburbs of Toronto and discovered skiing as a youngster. After high school, he headed west to British Columbia and never looked back—calling places like Revelstoke, Terrace, and now Squamish home. An ACMG Apprentice Ski & Rock Guide, Matt brings deep experience and a contagious passion for skiing and climbing to every trip. His enthusiasm is matched by a down-to-earth style and a focus on fun, echoing his favourite motto: “The best climber [or skier] is the one having the most fun.”

When he’s not in the mountains, Matt serves the community as a paramedic with BC Ambulance in Squamish.
