Jessica Walkden is the Head Chef at Weber Powder, bringing over 20 years in hospitality, including a decade spent cooking in the remote wilderness across Canada. Born into a farming family in the Okanagan and raised in Winnipeg she started her culinary journey at 14 and has traveled the world looking for new ideas and flavours. Jessica’s background shapes her ingredient-driven approach, rooted in sustainability, resilience, and exceptional flavor. She joined the Weber team through Weber Arctic in 2022, helping lead the brand’s culinary vision.

Inspired by the mountains and oceans of British Columbia, Jessica is a passionate mushroom picker, hunter, forager and wine drinker, drawing directly from the land for creative inspiration. At Weber Powder, she transforms this deep connection to place into bold, memorable culinary experiences that reflect her adventurous spirit and quality-driven values.

Fun fact: Jessica gains a lot of her inspiration from her father who has influenced her throughout her career (starting by getting her to roll sushi at 5 years old). Today, he still plays a role in her cooking, supplying many of the ferments featured on the Weber Powder menu.
